　　One day an Australian farmer Joe saw a bright light in the sky. The light came n____1___ and nearer and suddenly Joe saw that it was a spaceship. The spaceship l____2____ in the field quickly.

　　1. nearer 答案线索根据紧跟其后的and nearer。这是形容词比较级的叠加表现形式。
　　2. landed 前句说看到飞船越来越近。后面的飞船迅速地在田野就应该是着陆了。Land 作动词是登陆的意思。
　　3. seemed 前面是主语They，后面是不定式to be…。这个空里显然需要一个作谓语的动词。“他们…半人半鸟。”从意思上推断应该是“看起来”。给出的首字母是s，只能用seem了。
　　4. afraid 答题线索根据固定短语be afraid of所决定的。
　　5. picked 从walked towards…, p_____.....and carried him…. 可以看出，空中是一个和walked, carried并列的谓语，并且还必须是动词的过去式;从前面的动作“朝他走来”到后面的动作“把他带进飞船”，中间的动作应该是“抓起他”的意思。首字母是p，后面有一个up，自然会让我们联想到学过的pick up“捡起”的固定短语。
　　6. could 答题时读读这句话是不缺少什么成份的(主谓齐全)。由于通篇用的是过去时态，而speak在这里是原形，这种现象只能是在前面有情态动词的情况下才成立。首字母是c，又是过去的情况，我们就只能填could了。
　　7. questions 前面是“他们问他”，后面是“关于地球”，中间肯定应该是“问题”了。也就是“他们问他关于地球的问题”。本身我们学到过的q打头的单词不是很多，所以我们很容易想到这个答案。
　　8. dying 前句有交代说“金星正在变得非常热”，我们应该能联想到生存的问题“死亡”;而空前是一个系动词are，我们只能考虑这里用形容词;但是有人觉得dead这个形容词是个不错的答案，可是后面一句说“我们所剩时间无几”，表示还没有死，只是快死了。所以用die的ing形式表示“即将死亡”最为准确。
　　9. took “最后，飞船…..并看不见了”。飞船怎么后我们才看不见呢?显然是起飞后。空的后面有一个副词off，和take搭配就是“起飞，腾飞”的意思。
　　10. believed 答案可以在后句中找出来。“没人_____他的故事。你们总有一天会相信我的故事的。”后面的一句话中的“相信”为我们提供了答案。但是要注意动词时态的选用。
　　值得提醒的是，我在让学生做这样的练习时，有些学生明明单词找对了，但是没有得分。
　　因为他们没有注意名词的单复数和动词的数与时态的正确表现。这样的丢分是可惜的。
　　你可以解释自己是粗心的表现，因为一说错你就明白了。但我更认为是一种基本功不扎实的
　　表现。基本功厚实的人是不会犯这样错误的。
