In China, the English lesson are learned by many students . Of these students, some

are small children. Others are teenagers(青少年). Even some adults(成年人), they also learn English. Some of them study it at school, others learn by themselves. A few learn English

language over the radio, on television, or in films. One should work hard if they want to learn another language well. 　　

Why do all these people want to learn English? It is difficult to answer the queation. At school, many boys and girls learn English because English is one of their subjects. They not only study their own(自己的) language and maths but also English. Some people learn English because it is useful(有用的) for their work. Many people often learn English for their higher sutdies, because at college or university(大学) some of their books are in English. Other people learn English becausethey want to read newspaper and magazines in English.
