1. how soon意为“还要多久”，是对从某个基本时间到将来某动作结束或某动作发生这段时间提问，常用在一般将来时态的句子中，其答语通常是“in + 一段时间”。

    —How soon can you finish the work? 还要多久你能完成这项工作？

    —In half an hour. 半小时后。

2. how often意为“多久……次、是否经常”，用来提问在某一特定的时间进行某个动作的次数次数，答语通常是always，usually，often，sometimes，once/twice a day/month等。

    —How often do you get to school very early? 你多久早到校一次？

    —Usually. 通常。

     —How often do you see a film? 你多久看一次电影？

    —Once a month. 每月一次。

3. how long有以下两个主要意思：

    a.表示某东西有多长。如：

        A：How long is the river? 这条河有多长？

        B：About 500 km. 大约500千米。

     b. 表示时间多长，主要用来对一段时间(如three days, four weeks 等)提问，适用于各种时态。

        如： A：How long did he stay here? 他在这儿呆了多久?

                B：About two weeks. 大约两个星期。

4. how far 是提问“路程有多远”，询问距离的。

    How far is it from his house? 距离他家有多远？

5. how many的用法

    例: 1. There is a book on the desk. (用how many改为特殊疑问句) How many books are there on the desk?

         2. There are seven days in a week. (对划线部分进行提问) How many days are there in a week?

6. how much的用法

（1）用来询问事物的数量，后接不可数名词。例如： How much milk is there in the glass?玻璃杯里有多少牛奶？

（2） how much 意为“多少钱”时，可单独使用，用来询问某物的价钱、价格。

        －How much is the eraser?这块橡皮擦多少钱？

        －Two yuan.
