Three men were traveling across the desert when their car broke down. They looked around in the car for useful things to take with them. One of the men took a bottle of whiskey. Another took an umbrella. The third unscrewed a door from the car and c__________ it. After they had been w__________ for almost a day, they saw a camel caravan (骆驼队) traveling towards them. “Let’s try to j__________ the caravan,” one of the men said. The others a__________, so they asked the leader of the caravan for p__________ to join it. “You can join the caravan o__________ if you can answer three questions,” he said. “What’s that and why are you carrying it?” he asked him. “It’s a bottle of whiskey. Then he asked the n__________ man. “Why are you carrying an umbrella?” “I don’t want to get heat exhaustion (中暑衰竭),” he replied. “The umbrella will give me shade from the s__________.” “Very sensible,” the leader of the caravan said. Then he asked the third man. “And why are you carrying a car door?” “I thought that if I got too hot, I could open the window and let some air in,” he explained.
