　　Thanks to Jack’s great help, I have made great progress in English so far. I used to have no interest in English, so I didn't dare to speak English in public, and seldom read English articles. But now, after learning English with Jack for a term, I have confidence in communicating with others in English, because I can speak English more fluently. Moreover, I have begun to read more English magazines, newspapers and books. Owing to his help, I have gained high marks in English examinations. That’s to say, my grade is improving gradually.

　　From my experience, I strongly feel that leaning from others is a great way to improve ourselves; thus, if we have difficulty in learning, turn to others bravely.

　　Mark and Holly, an American couple traveled thousands of miles to serve as volunteer teachers in China. Both of them used to teach writing and grammar in an American secondary school. “Thanks to the same career, we got to know each other and fell in love,” said Holly with a smile. “We always support each other’s career. As for volunteer teaching, such meaningful work, my husband and I didn’t hesitate to apply for it.”

　　The couple realized their goal when the Peace Corps, a famous volunteer organization in America, sent them to KaiLi University in Guizhou province, the eastern part of Southwest China. They became one of six volunteer couples among the whole 100 Peace Corps volunteers in China. Teaching English in KaiLi, Holly and Mark found the students there were too shy to speak. Thus, they changed the traditional teaching method into an interactive one by singing English songs with them. The free and happy environment gradually enabled students to express themselves in English with more confidence.
