In today’s society, there are more and more problems between parents and their children. Many people are always having such a queation: “Why do we often argue?”

As parents,they show their love for children in many different ways. They cook delicious  food, buy new clothes for them. They care about their children’s studies as well. Parents always say to their children like these all the time, “You must study hard”, “You should finish your homework before you go to bed!”, “Why don’t you prepair for your exam?”.

When the children get bad marks, their parents will be very angry. They would stop their children watching TV, playing games or even going outside until they make progress.

Why? Most families have only one child. The only child is the hope of the whole family, therefore, they want their child to be the best.

Many teenagers want to do things in their own ways. They want to do many unusual and special things that their parents dislike. They like pop music, basketball, and other new things. They enjoy times of surfing on the Internet and playing QQ games. They spend a lot of time chatting online and listening to the QQ music. In their parents’ eyes, these are a waste of time. For these reasons, parents and children can’t get along with each other.

Why do children and their parents argue ?
