Bargaining

Sentences:

1.Can't you make it cheaper?

2.Sorry. Our prices are fixed.

3.That's more than I wanted to pay.

4.Can i have a discount?

5.Sorry. There's not any reduction.

Dialogue:

Seller: Hi, are you being helped?

Kate:No, I am not. I'm interested in some scarves.

Seller: All our scarves are in this section. What do you think of this one here? It's made of silk.

Kate:Hm! It looks nice, but i'd like to have something warm for the winter.

Seller: Maybe you would like a heavy wool scarf. How about this one?

Kate:I think that's what I want. How much is it?

Seller:It's...seventy---five dollars plus tax.

Kate:It's a little expensive. Do you think it's possible to get a discount?

Seller:Hm, since you like it so much, how about a 10 percent discount? That's the best I can offer.

Kete:That's good. Could you wrap it for me?

Seller: Sure. Is there anything else i can get for you?

Kate:No, that should be it. Thank you.
